Panjab University

Panjab University is one of the oldest and most prestigious universities in India, with a history dating back to 1882. It is located in Chandigarh, a planned city designed by the famous architect Le Corbusier. Panjab University offers a wide range of courses in arts, science, engineering, law, management, education, pharmacy, and more. It has 74 teaching and research departments, 15 centers, and 202 affiliated colleges. It also has six constituent colleges and four regional centers in different parts of Punjab. Panjab University has a reputation for excellence in teaching and research, and has been ranked among the top universities in India and the world by various agencies. - It is accredited with A++ Grade by the National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC) with a CGPA of 3.68 on a four-point scale.

Panjab University has a sprawling campus of 550 acres, divided into two sectors: Sector 14 (North Campus) and Sector 25 (South Campus). The North Campus houses the administrative, academic, sports, and residential buildings, while the South Campus has the Dr. Harvansh Singh Judge Institute of Dental Sciences and Hospital, Dr. S.S. Bhatnagar University Institute of Chemical Engineering and Technology, University Institute of Engineering and Technology, University Business School, and the Regional Centre for Biotechnology. The campus has many facilities, such as libraries, laboratories, museums, auditoriums, hostels, guest houses, banks, post offices, health centers, and cafeterias. The campus also has a botanical garden, a rose garden, and a herbal garden. The campus is well-connected by public transport and has a dedicated shuttle service for the students and staff.
