Siberian State Medical University

Siberian State Medical University (SSMU) is a public medical university located in Tomsk, Russia. It was established in 1878 as the medical faculty of Imperial Tomsk University, and became an independent institution in 1950. It is named after Nikolay Pirogov, a prominent Russian surgeon and one of the founders of modern surgery.
