Santiniketan Medical College Bolpur

Santiniketan Medical College (SMC) is a private medical college and hospital located in Santiniketan, Bolpur, West Bengal. It was established in 2021 by the Rahul Foundation, a charitable organization that aims to provide quality and affordable education and health care to the masses. SMC is the first medical college in India to be built through a public-private partnership under the National Medical Commission Act³. SMC offers the Bachelor of Medicine and Surgery (MBBS) courses and has an annual intake capacity of 150 students. The college is affiliated with the West Bengal University of Health Sciences and recognized by the National Medical Commission². SMC also plans to offer postgraduate courses in various specialties in the near future.

SMC has a modern campus spread over 50 acres, with well-furnished departments and labs, a digital library with more than 15,000 medical books and journals, and a 500-bedded hospital with world-class facilities.
