Poznan University of Medical Sciences

Poznan University of Medical Sciences (PUMS) is a prominent Polish medical university, located in the city of Poznan in western Poland. It traces its beginnings to the foundation of Poznan University in 1919, and was formed as a separate institution in 1950. It is named after Karol Marcinkowski, a Polish physician and social activist.

PUMS offers 19 study programs in various fields of medicine, such as medicine, dentistry, pharmacy, physiotherapy, public health, and nursing. It educates about 8,000 students, including over 1,000 international students from more than 50 countries. It has a high success rate in medical licensing exams and a high rate of alumni employability. It also conducts research and provides health services in collaboration with several hospitals and clinics in Poznan and the region.

PUMS has a modern and well-equipped campus, with lecture halls, laboratories, libraries, sports facilities, and student accommodation. It also has a state-of-the-art medical simulation center, where students can practice their clinical skills in a realistic and safe environment. PUMS is a member of various international organizations and networks, such as the Association of American Medical Colleges (AAMC), the European University Association (EUA), and the Erasmus+ program. It has established partnerships with over 100 universities and scientific institutions from all over the world.
