Pirogov Russian National Research Medical University, also known as RSMU, is a public medical university located in Moscow, Russia. It was founded in 1906 as a part of Moscow Higher Women’s Courses, and became an independent institution in 1931. It is named after Nikolay Pirogov, a prominent Russian surgeon and one of the founders of modern surgery.

RSMU offers various programs in medicine, dentistry, pharmacy, nursing, biotechnology, and public health. It has 69 departments, 12 research centers, and 9 clinical hospitals. It also has a linguistic center, a simulation center, and a library. The university has over 5000 students, including 1000 foreign students from 40 countries.
