PES College of Engineering
**PES College of Engineering (PESCE)**, also known as People's Education Society College of Engineering, is an autonomous institute and technical engineering college located in Mandya, Karnataka, India.
Establishment and Affiliations
The college was established in 1962 by the People’s Education Society under the leadership of Late Sri K. V. Shankara Gowda. It is permanently affiliated to Visvesvaraya Technological University (VTU), Belagavi, and has obtained Autonomous status in the year 2008-09 by the UGC. It is recognized by the All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE), New Delhi, and accredited by the National Board of Accreditation (NBA).
Campus and Facilities
The college is situated on a 62-acre campus. It is functioning under the Grant-in-Aid code, Government of Karnataka, and is also a beneficiary of TEQIP grants. The college has several centers like the Biofuel Center and Incubator.
Academics and Rankings
PESCE offers six specializations in B.Tech and three specializations in M.Tech. The college has been ranked 137th among engineering colleges in 2022 by the National Institutional Ranking Framework (NIRF). Over 140 Ph.Ds have been awarded at the college, and there have been over 2050 publications.
