NRI Academy of Medical Sciences, Chinakakani

NRI Academy of Medical Sciences is a private medical college in Andhra Pradesh, India, that was established in 2003 by a group of NRIs who wanted to provide quality medical education and healthcare services to the people of this region⁵. The college is affiliated to Dr YSR University of Health Sciences, Vijayawada, and offers undergraduate (MBBS) and postgraduate (MD, MS, DM, MCh) courses in various medical specialties. The hospital also has specialty departments such as cardiology, neurology, nephrology, gastroenterology, urology, plastic surgery, paediatric surgery, neurosurgery and vascular surgery². The hospital caters to the needs of the rural and urban population of Guntur and Vijayawada districts and also conducts various outreach programs and health camps⁵.

The college has a dedicated and experienced faculty of 287 members, who are well-qualified and trained in their respective fields. The faculty members are involved in teaching, research and patient care activities. The college follows the curriculum prescribed by the Medical Council of India (MCI) and the Dr YSR University of Health Sciences. The college also conducts regular seminars, workshops, guest lectures, conferences and CME programs for the students and faculty².

The college has separate hostels for boys and girls with comfortable rooms and amenities. The hostels have mess facilities that provide hygienic and nutritious food to the students.
