Northern State Medical University

Northern State Medical University (NSMU), now known as Privolzhsky Research Medical University (PRMU), is a Russian medical university located in Nizhny Novgorod, the capital of the Nizhny Novgorod Oblast, established in 1920. It is a major center for training medical practitioners in one of the largest regions of the European part of Russia. It is recognized by the Ministry of Science and Higher Education of the Russian Federation, and accredited by the National Medical Commission (NMC) and the World Health Organization (WHO).

NSMU offers various programs in Medicine, Engineering, Humanities, Natural Sciences, Economics, Law, and Education. The medical degree is designed to meet the expectations of the General Medical Council. The faculty offers a six-year program in Medicine, a five-year program in Dentistry, and a five-year program in Pharmacy.
