NMAM Institute of Technology

NMAM Institute of Technology (NMAMIT) is a deemed engineering college in Nitte, Karnataka, India. It was established in 1986 by the Nitte Education Trust, with the vision of providing quality technical education and fostering research and innovation. It is a constituent college of Nitte (Deemed to be University), Mangaluru, which is accredited by NAAC with A++ grade and ranked 75th in NIRF 2022. NMAMIT is also accredited by NBA under the TIER-I category for its eligible undergraduate programs.

NMAMIT offers 20 courses in the fields of engineering, management, and science at the undergraduate, postgraduate, and doctoral levels. It has 18 departments offering B.Tech programs, 13 departments offering M.Tech programs, and 14 departments offering PhD/M.Sc (Engg.) programs. It also offers MBA and MCA programs under the Department of Management Studies and Research. Some of the popular courses at NMAMIT are Artificial Intelligence & Data Science, Biotechnology, Computer Science and Engineering, Electronics and Communication Engineering, and Mechanical Engineering.

NMAMIT has a distinguished faculty, with many of them having PhDs and industry experience. The college also has well-equipped laboratories, workshops, libraries, and computing facilities to support the teaching and learning process. NMAMIT encourages research and innovation among its students and faculty, and has several research centers, innovation labs, and incubation centers on the campus. The college has also received grants and funding from various agencies such as DST, DRDO, ISRO, AICTE, etc. for its research projects.

NMAMIT has an excellent placement record, with many of its students getting placed in reputed companies such as Microsoft, Amazon, Google, IBM, Infosys, Wipro, TCS, Accenture, etc. The college also has a dedicated placement cell, which organizes campus recruitment drives, internship opportunities, training programs, and career guidance sessions for the students. NMAMIT also has a strong alumni network, with many of its alumni holding prominent positions in various sectors such as academia, industry, government, and entrepreneurship.

Some of the notable events at NMAMIT are Utsav, the annual cultural fest, Phase Shift, the annual technical fest, and BMSCE Sports Meet, the annual sports event.
