National Institute of Technology, Calicut

The National Institute of Technology Calicut (NIT Calicut) is a public technical university located in Kozhikode, Kerala, India. It is one of the 31 National Institutes of Technology in India and is recognized as an Institute of National Importance by the Government of India.

Established in 1961 as Calicut Regional Engineering College (CREC), it was later upgraded and renamed as the National Institute of Technology Calicut in 2002. The institute offers undergraduate, postgraduate, and doctoral programs in various fields of engineering, science, and management.

NIT Calicut has a sprawling campus spread over 1200 acres and is located about 22 kilometers from Kozhikode city center. The campus is well-equipped with modern facilities, including state-of-the-art laboratories, research centers, a library, sports facilities, and hostels for students.
