Mukesh Patel School of Technology Management & Engineering

Mukesh Patel School of Technology Management & Engineering (MPSTME) is a constituent school of SVKM's NMIMS⁴. It was established in 2006 under the aegis of Narsee Monjee Institute of Management Studies (NMIMS). NMIMS was initially a management institute affiliated to the University of Mumbai, established in 1981. It became a deemed university in 2003.

MPSTME was essentially established to serve the need for innovative and integrated technology education interspersed with sound management practices that converged with changing industry and societal needs¹. The vision was to match the emerging demands in the field by creating holistically trained engineers possessing sound technical expertise as well as a vision to integrate their knowledge into creating technology that serves the changing needs of the present world¹.

The institute offers various courses like B.Tech, M.Tech, MCA, PhD, and MBA⁵. It also provides opportunities for students to study a part of their program at NMIMS and then go and complete the rest of the course at a partner university abroad².

MPSTME has been recognized as an institution of excellence. It has been ranked 135th in India’s top Engineering Institutions by NIRF 2022 Rankings². It has also received the 'Best Institute with Academic and Industry Interface' award at the World HRD Congress 2019¹. The institute is known for its strong industry linkages, innovative curriculum, excellent faculty, and state-of-the-art infrastructure³.

The students of MPSTME have achieved various accolades. For instance, a fourth-year B Tech Mechanical Engineering student was awarded a prestigious scholarship from Faurecia Sustainable Mobility Solutions¹. An MBA Tech student was selected for the prestigious list of the 6th Edition of ET Campus Stars Class 2022-23¹. These achievements are a testament to the quality of education and opportunities provided by the institute¹.
