Medical University of Gdansk

Medical University of Gdansk (MUG) is a leading Polish medical university, located in the city of Gdansk on the Baltic coast. It was established in 1950 as a separate institution from the University of Gdansk, and it is named after the Polish Nobel laureate Lech Walesa.

MUG offers 19 study programs in various fields of medicine, such as medicine, dentistry, pharmacy, biotechnology, public health, and nursing. It educates about 6,000 students, including over 800 international students from more than 40 countries. It has a high success rate in medical licensing exams and a high rate of alumni employability. It also conducts research and provides health services in collaboration with several hospitals and clinics in Gdansk and the region.

MUG has a modern and well-equipped campus, with lecture halls, laboratories, libraries, sports facilities, and student accommodation. It also has a state-of-the-art medical simulation center, where students can practice their clinical skills in a realistic and safe environment. MUG is a member of various international organizations and networks, such as the Association of Medical Schools in Europe (AMSE), the European University Association (EUA), and the Erasmus+ program. It has established partnerships with over 100 universities and scientific institutions from all over the world.
