Krishna Vishwa Vidyapeeth (KVV), deemed to be a university and formerly known as Krishna Institute of Medical Sciences, is situated in Karad, Western Maharashtra, India. The university is set against a picturesque backdrop of mountains and valleys, with a green, eco-friendly campus that spans over 57 acres. It is well-connected by rail, road, and air, making it accessible for students from various regions.

The university has garnered recognition for its commitment to quality education and innovation. It has been accredited with an 'A+' grade by the National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC) and holds a CGPA of 3.39. Additionally, it has received certifications from the National Accreditation Board for Hospitals & Healthcare Providers (NABH), National Accreditation Board for Testing and Calibration Laboratories (NABL), and the National Neonatology Forum of India (NNF). The teaching hospital, Krishna Hospital and Medical Research Centre (KH&MRC), is a 1125-bedded multispecialty tertiary care hospital recognized by NABH. It offers a comprehensive range of medical services, including critical care, endoscopic surgeries, dialysis, cardiology, cardio-vascular-thoracic surgery, oncology, urology, neurosurgery, plastic surgery, oral and maxillofacial surgery, and a recognized renal transplant unit. The hospital is equipped with modern operation theaters, intensive care units, a blood bank accredited by NABH, and departments for radiodiagnosis and radiotherapy.
