JIS School of Medical Science & Research

JIS School of Medical Science & Research (JISMSR) is a private medical college and hospital located in Santragachi, Howrah, West Bengal. It was established in 2023 by the Rahul Foundation, a charitable organization that aims to provide quality and affordable education and health care to the masses. JISMSR is the first medical college in India to be built through a public-private partnership under the National Medical Commission Act³. JISMSR offers the Bachelor of Medicine and Surgery (MBBS) courses and has an annual intake capacity of 150 students. The college is affiliated with the JIS University, Kolkata and recognized by the National Medical Commission¹². JISMSR also plans to offer postgraduate courses in various specialties in the near future.

JISMSR has a state-of-the-art campus spread over 30 acres, with well-equipped departments and labs, a digital library with more than 11,000 medical books and journals, and a 1200-bedded hospital with world-class facilities. The hospital has a dedicated team of qualified doctors, nurses, and paramedics who provide comprehensive and compassionate care to the patients. The hospital also has advanced diagnostic and therapeutic equipment, such as MRI (Tesla 1.5), CT scan, digital X-ray, ultrasound, endoscopy, dialysis, cath lab, blood bank, and pharmacy. The hospital caters to the needs of the people of Howrah and its surrounding areas, as well as the students and staff of JISMSR.
