Govt. Dental College & Hospital, Nagpur, established in 1968, is a premier institution catering to the oral health care needs of Central India. It is located in the geographical center of India, within the campus of the Government Medical College, which is noted as the largest medical campus in Asia.

The college is recognized by the Dental Council of India and was initially affiliated with Nagpur University. It has since become affiliated with the Maharashtra University of Health Sciences (MUHS), the largest health education university in Maharashtra. The institute has been a pioneer in establishing postgraduate programs in all dental specialties and has added a Ph.D. program in 2014 and a fellowship program in 2017.

GDCH Nagpur offers a Bachelor of Dental Surgery (BDS) program, which is a five-year course, and a Master of Dental Surgery (MDS) program with various specializations. The BDS program requires candidates to have scored 50% marks in 10+2 with Physics, Chemistry, and Biology as main subjects and to have qualified in the NEET examination. The MDS program is a three-year course that requires a BDS degree from a recognized dental college.

With an annual patient turnover of approximately 1.8 lakh patients, the college serves as a significant healthcare provider. The campus is equipped with modern facilities, including CCTV surveillance for safety and ample recreational spaces for students.
