Far Eastern Federal University, also known as FEFU, is a public university located in Vladivostok, Russia. It was founded in 1899 as the Oriental Institute and later became the Far Eastern State University in 1956. In 2009, it was reformed into its current form by merging with three other universities.

FEFU is one of the leading universities in Russia, especially in the fields of oriental studies, science and technology, and innovation.
