Fakhruddin Ali Ahmed Medical College (FAAMC) is a government medical college in Assam, situated at the city of Barpeta, the district head quarter of Barpeta district. The college was established in 2011 under the Pradhan Mantri Swasthya Suraksha Yojna (PMSSY) to provide quality tertiary level healthcare and medical education in the state of Assam²³. The college is affiliated to Srimanta Sankaradeva University of Health Sciences (SSUHS) and is recognized by the National Medical Commission (NMC)²⁴.
