College of Medical Sciences 

The College of Medical Sciences, situated in Bharatpur, Chitwan, Nepal, is a distinguished medical institution that shapes the future of healthcare professionals through rigorous education and advanced facilities. With an annual enrollment of approximately 100 students for its MBBS degree course, the college is a significant contributor to medical education and healthcare in the region.

The college's origin story is rooted in a collaborative effort. In 1993, the International Society for Medical Education Pvt. Ltd and the Ministry of Education of the Government of Nepal signed an agreement that gave rise to the International Institute of Medical Science in Bharatpur. This institution was later re-established as the College of Medical Sciences in 1995. Affiliated with Kathmandu University and fully recognized by the Nepal Medical Council, the college operates as a private institute dedicated to providing comprehensive medical education.

Nestled in the heart of Nepal, the college boasts modern infrastructure, world-class amenities, and a faculty with vast experience and expertise. Of the 100 students enrolled annually, a notable portion (20%) are nominees of the Nepal government, while the remaining students are self-financed. The college follows a rigorous selection process, including Kathmandu University's competitive Medical Entrance Examination, to admit self-financing Nepalese students. The student body reflects diversity, with participants hailing from various regions of Nepal, India, and SAARC countries.

The institution's well-stocked library houses an extensive collection of medical literature, with over 20,000 books and 17,000 medical journals.

Geographically, the College of Medical Sciences is strategically located, situated 146 km from Kathmandu and accessible from nearby Indian towns. The college provides separate lodging and accommodation facilities for both male and female students, along with transportation services.
