Christian Medical College & Hospital Ludhiana is a private, Christian minority-run teaching hospital and medical school in Ludhiana, Punjab, India. It was established in 1894 by the Greenfield sisters, who were American missionaries, as the first medical school for women in Asia³. The college is affiliated to Baba Farid University of Health Sciences and recognised by the National Medical Commission²⁵. The college offers undergraduate, postgraduate and diploma courses in various medical specialties, such as anatomy, physiology, biochemistry, pathology, microbiology, pharmacology, forensic medicine, community medicine, general medicine, general surgery, obstetrics and gynaecology, paediatrics, orthopaedics, ophthalmology, ENT, conservative dentistry & endodontics, casualty trauma, cardiothoracic, neurology, neurosurgery, haematology, plastic surgery, nephrology, oral surgery, dermatology, prosthodontics, gastroenterology, paediatric surgery, endocrinology, orthodontics, medicine, cardiology, radiology, periodontics, anaesthesia, PMR, pedodontics and public health dentistry¹²⁴.
