Chhatrapati Shahu Ji Maharaj University

Chhatrapati Shahu Ji Maharaj University (CSJMU), formerly known as Kanpur University, is a public state collegiate university located in Kanpur, Uttar Pradesh, India².

Established in 1966, the university has been a significant part of higher education for more than five decades. It is administered under the state legislature of the government of Uttar Pradesh.

The university is situated in one of the biggest industrial metropolises of the state of Uttar Pradesh¹. It stands as a hallmark of higher education and is an educational community where students of various religions and cultural backgrounds study and work together in a congenial atmosphere. The university is geared to provide maximum scholastic benefit to each individual student.

The Vice-Chancellor of the university is Prof. Vinay Kumar Pathak. The university has several departments, including the University Institute of Engineering and Technology.

The university is an affiliating university for all non-engineering, non-medical (including pharmacy), non-MBA degree, non-MCA degree offering colleges of several districts from the year of 2020².
