BMS College of Engineering

BMS College of Engineering (BMSCE) is one of the oldest and most reputed engineering colleges in India, established by Bhusanayana Mukundadas Sreenivasaiah in 1946. It is located in Basavanagudi, Bangalore, which is a cultural and educational hub of the city. BMSCE is affiliated to Visvesvaraya Technological University (VTU) and is accredited by NAAC with A++ grade. It is also recognized by AICTE and COA, and has been granted academic autonomy by UGC.

BMSCE offers a wide range of courses in the fields of engineering, management, and science at the undergraduate, postgraduate, and doctoral levels. It has 18 departments offering B.E. programs, 13 departments offering M.Tech programs, and 14 departments offering PhD/M.Sc (Engg.) programs. It also offers MBA and MCA programs under the Department of Management Studies and Research. Some of the popular courses at BMSCE are Computer Science and Engineering, Electronics and Communication Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Civil Engineering, and Biotechnology.

BMSCE has a distinguished faculty, with many of them having PhDs and industry experience. The college also has well-equipped laboratories, workshops, libraries, and computing facilities to support the teaching and learning process. BMSCE also has a strong alumni network, with many of its alumni holding prominent positions in various sectors such as academia, industry, government, and entrepreneurship.

Some of the notable events at BMSCE are Utsav, the annual cultural fest, Phase Shift, the annual technical fest, and BMSCE Sports Meet, the annual sports event.
