Bharatiya Vidya Bhavan’s Sardar Patel Institute of Technology

Bharatiya Vidya Bhavan's Sardar Patel Institute of Technology (SPIT) is an autonomous engineering institute affiliated to the University of Mumbai. It was established in 1995 by the Bharatiya Vidya Bhavan group, and is located in Andheri, Mumbai. The institute is ranked 167th under the engineering category by NIRF¹².

The institute offers six undergraduate courses in engineering, namely Computer Engineering, Electronics and Telecommunication Engineering, Electrical and Computer Engineering, Electronics Engineering, CSE (Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning), and CSE (Data Science). It also offers two postgraduate courses in engineering, namely Computer Engineering and Electronics and Telecommunication Engineering. It also offers a doctoral program in Computer Engineering. The institute has a total intake of 780 students for UG courses and 36 students for PG courses²³.

The institute has a state-of-the-art campus, with modern amenities, such as laboratories, library, cafeteria, sports complex, and hostel. The institute has a qualified and experienced faculty, with 19 Ph.D. holders, 10 professors, 25 associate professors, and over 100 assistant professors²⁴.
