Batumi Shota Rustaveli State University

Batumi Shota Rustaveli State University (BSU) is a public university in Batumi, Georgia, that was founded in 1895 as a boys' gymnasium and later transformed into a pedagogical institute and then a university. It is named after the medieval Georgian poet Shota Rustaveli. The university offers various undergraduate and graduate programs in fields such as medicine, law, business, social sciences, and humanities. It has about 8,000 students and 500 academic staff.
