Amaltas Institute of Medical Science (AIMS) is a private medical college located in the village Bangar on Dewas-Ujjain Highway, District Dewas, in the state of Madhya Pradesh. It was established in the year 2016 by the Amaltas Educational Welfare Society, which also runs other institutions such as Amaltas Hospital & Medical College, Amaltas Institute of Nursing Sciences, Amaltas Institute of Homoeopathy, and Amaltas Institute of Paramedical Sciences¹.
AIMS offers an undergraduate course in Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS) with an intake capacity of 150 students per year. The duration of the course is four and a half years followed by a compulsory one-year rotating internship. The admission to the MBBS course is based on the merit rank obtained in the National Eligibility cum Entrance Test (NEET-UG) conducted by the National Testing Agency (NTA)².
AIMS is affiliated with Madhya Pradesh Medical Science University, Jabalpur, and approved by the National Medical Commission (NMC) formerly known as Medical Council of India (MCI). The college has a well-equipped campus with modern facilities such as lecture halls, laboratories, library, auditorium, hostel, mess, sports complex, gymnasium, and transport. The college also has a 500-bedded multi-specialty hospital attached to it, which provides clinical training and exposure to the students as well as serves the health care needs of the rural population³.
AIMS aims to impart quality medical education and training to the aspiring doctors and to produce competent and compassionate professionals who can contribute to the advancement of medical science and health care. The college has a dedicated and experienced faculty who guide and mentor the students throughout their academic journey.
