University of Georgia

The University of Georgia (UGA or Georgia) is a public land-grant research university with its main campus in Athens, Georgia. It is one of the oldest public universities in the United States, chartered in 1785 by the Georgia General Assembly. The university offers various undergraduate and graduate programs in fields such as agriculture, arts, business, education, engineering, environment, health, journalism, law, public affairs, and social work. The University of Georgia's tuition fees vary depending on the program and degree level. For example, the tuition fee for the four-year bachelor of arts program is $12,080 per year for in-state students and $31,120 per year for out-of-state students. The admission process for undergraduate students requires a high school transcript, SAT or ACT scores, a personal essay, and a letter of recommendation. The University of Georgia has two intakes per year: fall and spring.
