Grigol Robakidze University

Grigol Robakidze University (GRU) is a private university in Tbilisi, Georgia, established in 1992 by Professor Teimuraz Koridze, a renowned Georgian physician and surgeon. The university is named after Grigol Robakidze, a Georgian poet and thinker who lived in the 20th century¹. The university offers undergraduate, postgraduate, and doctoral programs in various disciplines, such as medicine, dentistry, law, journalism, business, information technology, international relations, and English philology². GRU has a five-year educational program in dentistry, which is taught in Georgian language and consists of theoretical and practical courses in dental sciences, as well as clinical practice in the university's dental clinic. The graduates of the program are awarded a Doctor of Dental Medicine (DMD) degree and are eligible to take the National Board Dental Examination (NBDE) and other international licensing exams.

GRU has a four-year educational program in pharmacy, which is taught in Georgian language and consists of theoretical and practical courses in pharmaceutical sciences, as well as clinical practice in the university's pharmacy. The graduates of the program are awarded a Bachelor of Pharmacy (BPharm) degree and are eligible to take the Pharmacy Examining Board of Canada (PEBC) and other international licensing exams.

GRU has a two-year master's degree program in public health, which is taught in English language and consists of core and elective courses in public health, as well as a research project and a thesis. The graduates of the program are awarded a Master of Public Health (MPH) degree and are qualified to work as public health professionals, researchers, managers, and educators.

GRU has a three-year doctoral degree program in medical sciences, which is taught in English and Georgian languages and consists of advanced courses in medical sciences, as well as a research project and a dissertation. The graduates of the program are awarded a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) degree and are capable of conducting independent and original research in various fields of medicine.
